Dr. Giblin’s counseling practice serves clients from all communities in and around Eugene Oregon. Clients describe Dr. Giblin as insightful, engaging, skillful about making all family members feel heard. He is a deep thinker and an expert at strategizing. His style is engaging and personable, without being too casual OR too clinical. Below is a brief statement from Dr. Giblin discussing his approach to adult counseling.
One of my primary areas of counseling focus is working with adults, both via individual, and when appropriate, via marital-focused, therapy. I enjoy working with individual to address concerns around and find lasting solutions for ADD, Anxiety Disorders (Panic Disorder, OCD, Phobias, and Social Anxiety, to name a few), Stress Management, Mood Disorders (unipolar and bipolar depression), Internet Addictions, as well as family issues and blended family adjustments.
I have worked with a number of clients to address health related anxieties, adjustment to new health concerns, and to address lifestyle changes to alleviate the impact certain behaviors have on their physical health challenges.
My counseling approaches are largely based upon Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, though I often blend approaches for an individualized treatment plan.
